History
Vision Statement
All children should leave our school as Historians who have a love and a curiosity for History. We aim to stimulate pupils’ interest about the lives of past people and cultures, enabling them to develop their own sense of identity and understanding of their historical heritage. Throughout their time at our school, children learn about aspects of local, British and Ancient history, which allows them to develop a broad awareness and knowledge of historical development in the wider world. All children need an appreciation of their role in multicultural Britain, regardless of their own cultural background, and History plays a vital role in developing the necessary skills and understanding.
